This weekend we welcome Bishop Paul Hendricks to Corpus Christi church for the blessing of our stained-glass window at the 10am Mass, donated by the legacy of the late Mary Woodhouse. Please come to this special event.
First Holy Communion Registrations.
The two evenings for registration for next year’s First Holy Communion program are Monday 19th October 2026 from 7pm to 8pm and Monday 26th October 2026, from 7pm to 8pm in the Fisher Hall. Please put these dates in your diary.
Saturday 17th October Rosary Crusade in London Each year there is a rosary crusade in London, in which a statue of Our Lady of Fatima is carried through the streets from Westminster Cathedral to the Brompton Oratory, whilst the people pray the rosary and sing hymns to our Lady. It is done in reparations for the many sins and sacrileges against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and The Sacred Heart of Jesus. A group of us are travelling to this event on Saturday 17th October, starting at 1.45 pm at Westminster Cathedral in London and finishing at the Brompton Oratory in Kensington, around 5pm. If you would like to join us, please meet at Corpus Christi church at 11.30am, to travel by train to this event.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL would like to say a big thank you to all who attended and to those who helped in any way to make the Tea Party last Sunday a huge success. Without the attendees, musicians, dancers, cake makers and helpers the celebration would not have been the success it was. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR – It's that time again! Time to get ready for some festive fun at our upcoming Corpus Christi Christmas Bazaar on 21 November (12-3pm) in the Fisher Hall! This is a wonderful opportunity to come together to enjoy some Christmas cheer and help raise funds for our Parish. We are looking for donations to help make the Bazaar a great success — please see the separate flyer for details of what is needed. All donations can be left in the Narthex after Mass in the designated boxes. We would also love to hear from anyone who can volunteer to help on a stall or otherwise on the day. Also a particular request is for anyone who can contribute some items to a homemade Christmas Crafts stall. Every contribution makes a difference, so please get involved and help us make this year’s Christmas Bazaar a fantastic celebration for everyone!

THIS WEEKEND We have our annual Malawi Solar Lights Appeal and retiring collection at the 6.00pm Mass : 8.30pm Mass at St Justus and 12noon Mass at St Peter’s. CC Sunday Appeal and collection will be at a later date.
THIS WEEKEND is the final National Mass Count. There will be count sheets for the collectors to complete which must be returned to the parish office each weekend/Monday. A big thank you to the collectors!
NEXT WEEKEND Sunday is World Mission Sunday and there is a second collection for Missio who is the Church’s official organ for the support of foreign missions. The total amount of the collections goes in its entirety to support churches, hospitals, schools and vocations in countries where the Church is new, young or poor.
SALUD Malawi First Container collection is Sunday 25 October 2.00pm-4.00pm in the Fisher Hall.
ST PETER’S Come to the next coffee ‘morning' on 25th October, to hear all about the next phase of the refurbishments and improvements that will be taking place early next year. Come and join us for noon Mass, then coffee, tea and cake after Mass, to learn about the project for which the Diocese has now granted permission. All very welcome.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PROFRAMME 2027 REGISTRATION DATES Monday 19th October & Monday 26th October 7-8.00pm in the Fisher Hall. Programme begins in January. If you wish your child to be included in the Programme then you must come along and register them on either of those two meeting dates. Please bring along to the meeting their Baptism Certificate & a Passport size photo.
